I was invited to Michigan a few weeks ago by the youngest league in America Cricket, Troy Cricket Association, to present awards and give a motivational speech at the annual awards function. This shows that there is still a tremendous amount that past greats can contribute to the sport globally and that we are still recognised as the standard bearers of the sport. I want to thank Mr Ajay Reddy Gollapalli and his Association for looking after me and making sure I was comfortable during my visit.
I was a given a tour of some of the facilities in Michigan by Mr Sankar Renganathan. I visited the indoor dome and also toured the venue which I was told is the future of Michigan cricket. It's 100 acres and on completion it will be named the Michigan Universal Sports park.
Troy cricket association had the Troy cup which was played with 220 players. Troy has over 75 all star cricketers playing in all different formats and playing conditions this shows progressive thinking in this setup.
The Cricket Legends of Barbados can assist in getting other Legends to visit or help with tours to Barbados and to assist in developing proper Cricket techniques in upcoming cricketers.
I am still willing to continue contributing to this great game and to lend assistance where necessary on request.
