ALBERT PADMORE

Albert Padmore will be remembered for leading Barbados to victory in the 1980 Shell Shield when the island had a 100 per cent winning record. As an off-spinner, he had just a few international appearances and did little of note, taking only one wicket for 135 runs. He enjoyed a successful tour of England in 1976 in which he bowled very well in the county games, taking 59 wickets at a rate of 23.38. In 1977, he joined the Kerry Packer World Series Cricket and in 1983, he joined the rebel team which went to South Africa.
